These two Punk veterans have teamed up to bring you a concert that is both visually and sonically stunning, while the hits keep coming. Happy Paradise Rock Records 30th Anniversary Live In Taipei
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of Rock Records in Taiwan, the music label put together an unprecedented concert in the history of Taiwan music, supported by more than 60 performing units. The show toured through Asia and many cities in the Mainland, and finally drew its curtains in Taipei Arena in November 2011. The massive lineup posed an array of challenges in terms of scheduling, lightning, sound and stage design for the crew, but in the end everything came together and resulted in a grand five-hour spectacle. Hatsune Miku: Magical Mirai 2015
Started in 2013, Magical Mirai is an annual musical event showcasing the songs from Crypton Future Media's Vocaloids (synthesized vocalists). The 2015 Magical Mirai concert, hosted at Tokyo’s prestigious Nippon Budokan, featured several never-before performed songs from Miku and the other Crypton VOCALOIDs. This concert was accompanied by a two-day exhibition, in which two different life size Miku statues were unveiled.
The Tragically Hip - A National Celebration
When it was announced in May of 2016 that lead singer Gord Downie had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, the band decided that they would do one final run of 15 dates across Canada. A National Celebration was the final show of the Tragically Hip's Man Machine Poem Tour recorded on August 20th, 2016 at the K-Rock Centre in their home town of Kingston Ontario. Originally aired live by CBC across all platforms, the concert was experienced by an estimated one-third of Canadians, among the biggest events in the country's broadcast history.
Gustav Mahler: Symphony No. 2 Resurrection
In 2005, the Staatsoper Berlin and its orchestra, the Staatskapelle Berlin under musical director Daniel Barenboim, celebrated a series of events to celebrate the 80th birthday of French conductor and composer Pierre Boulez. Artistically associated for decades with Barenboim and Berlin, Pierre Boulez is one of today's most distinguished composers and conductors. As part of the celebration, Boulez conducted a performance of Mahler's "Resurrection" Symphony at the Berlin Philharmonie. With his uncompromising approach to the score, Pierre Boulez's Mahler readings have long fascinated critics and audiences alike. Boulez eschews the romanticized readings common in performance tradition and, instead, reveals the real joy and terror in Mahler's large-scale symphonies.
